Sizing Guide

All measurements given in Inches.

Condition of the item will be described along the scale of great, good or okay. Any imperfections with the garment will be mentioned. Please be aware that an item described as ‘great’ may still have a slight noticeable imperfection. We scale on the basis of the quality of fabric and wearability.

The sizing of vintage clothing is different to the modern sizing with retailers today, so it is important to read the accurate measurements we have made of the garments in each listing before buying. For example, a size 10 back in the early 2000’s may not be what a size 10 would be today. Also due to the second-hand nature of the clothes, they have been subjected to stretching and washing shrinkage over time, meaning the size on the label of garment may no longer be accurate.

Some items of clothing have been pinned/adapted to the model to showcase the item in the best way so please do check the description for the accurate size/whether this is the case.

Items will be listed as ‘Tall’ or ‘Petite’ if applicable.

These are our recommendations for sizing. This has been researched and then curated to be as accurate as possible, compared alongside modern sizing. We measure each individual item and garments can tend to fall between 2 sizes. Always read the description!

How we measure:

Tops:

Length - garment laid flat, measuring tape from shoulder to hem.

Across - garment laid flat, measuring tape across garment from pit to pit.

Sleeves - garment laid flat, measuring tape from right shoulder to cuff.

Bottoms:

Waist - garment laid flat, measuring tape across waistband of garment and then initial measurement doubled to get waistband size.

Length - garment laid flat, measured from waistband to hem.

In-seam - garment laid flat, measuring tape held from crotch down to hem.
